The Challenge
Augmented reality (AR), the synthesis of tangible environments and computer-generated 3D content, has long captivated innovators across industries. Historically, the promise of AR has been tempered by the absence of widespread, accessible hardware necessary to truly integrate this technology into everyday life. Prior to the proliferation of smartphones, the capacity for AR integration was limited. But with today’s smartphones—equipped with advanced cameras and processing capabilities that far surpass those used in the Apollo 11 mission—this limitation no longer persists.
