Urban Mobility International (UMI), the company behind WeShare, was transitioning from a startup to a scale-up and had a tight ninety-day, three city launch goal ahead of them.
As the external Principal Consultant focussed on ways-of-working, I lead their C-level team and chapter teams in defining their objectives and key results (OKRS), followed by weekly stand-ups on each chapter’s progress.

Founded in 2018, WeShare is the car-sharing service based in Berlin & Hamburg provided by UMI; a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG. With a fully electric fleet of 2,300 cars, the WeShare mission is to help shape the future of cities.
Their current meeting set-up involved ten weeklies that amounted to five-hundred and forty meeting minutes. With the deadline less than three months away, their goal was to reduce and streamline meetings while creating momentum and motivation for the team.

The key outcome of this engagement was the implementation of a streamlined meeting cadence, which substantially reduced the complexity and time investment of their previous meeting matrix, enhancing overall operational efficiency.
Together with their COO, we developed a comprehensive roadmap outlining future OKR-related tasks, including performance grading, retrospectives, and refined definitions. This forward-looking approach ensured the sustainability and continued evolution of the newly implemented strategic framework.
Since its launch, WeShare customers in Berlin and Hamburg have driven more than 60 million fully electric kilometers, which equals almost 6,000 tons of saved CO2 compared to combustion car-sharing.
